(HealthDay News) -- The inability to fully control the bladder, a condition known as urinary incontinence, has many potential causes and treatments.

  • Weakening of the pelvic muscles due to pregnancy or childbirth.
  • Lower levels of estrogen during menopause.
  • Chronic constipation.
  • Side effects from medication, such as diuretics or hormone replacement therapy.
  • Alcohol or caffeine.
  • Being overweight.
  • Nerve damage.
