About the study

To compare the efficacy of acapella and expiration against open glottis (ELTGOL) technique in promoting airway clearance of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients

Who can take part?

You may be eligible to participate in the study if you meet the following criteria:

Inclusion criteria
  1. Mild copd
  2. Moderate copd
  3. Patient able to sustain expiratory flow greater than 15l/min
  4. Patient expectorate more than 25.-30ml
Exclusion criteria
  1. Severe copd
  2. Peripheral oxygen saturation lower than 85%
  3. Rr>35breaths/min
  4. Current acute chest pain
  5. Recent history of haemoptysis
