Gastrointestinal Disorders: GERD and IBS 

Gastrointestinal disorders are among the most common health problems worldwide. They include diseases from ulcers and acid reflux disease to irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease. Some, like gastric ulcers, can be cured. Others, like irritable bowel syndrome, are lifelong conditions that must be managed with diet, exercise and behavioral approaches as well as medicines. This family of disorders is receiving increased attention and is generating an increasing amount of research.
